Dear Filipino Christians, Preach the Gospel!
The moment we accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior is also the moment our life becomes a testimony for His glory. Our old sinful nature dies and we receive eternal life. The Holy Spirit will begin His work in us to change us from glory to glory into the likeness of our Lord Jesus. Once we accept the Lord as our savior, it is now our responsibility to witness to the lost and tell them about the good news of salvation so they themselves can also experience eternal life. The Lord has commanded us to preach His message to His lost sheep.
Mark 16:15
“He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
When we receive the Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts, we begin to experience the reality of His love in our lives. This process becomes the start of our loving relationship with the Lord. You will now begin to commune with God. The Lord will share His heart to you and His longing for His lost children. It is an absolute biblical fact that there is more rejoicing in Heaven when one sinner repents.
Luke 15:7
“I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”
When you bring one soul to the Kingdom of God, the Word of God says there is rejoicing in Heaven. The purpose of the cross is to reunite God’s lost children back to His arms, back to His kingdom. Therefore, out of our love for God we must obey and proclaim His message to the Lost. This is evident to the true disciples of the Lord. I believe in my heart that if you truly love God, you will proclaim His message of love and hope to the Lost. You will proclaim the word of God and the gospel of the Kingdom.
Sad to say at this age, most Christians are afraid to become a witness for God. Most born-again believers will just choose to remain silent maybe because of doubt and the fear of men. But as we spend time with God, we will be empowered to become God’s witness and be used by God to become His light in the community. This means we will also become a channel of blessing to the lost and for the people around us. Let us partner with God in this matter. If we confess that we love the Lord, then our mouths should not be shut. Let us witness for the Lord in our families, in our workplace, schools or colleges, in our community and in our nation.
Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
In our beloved country the Philippines, let us pray that the hearts of Filipino Christians will become on fire to proclaim the message of love, mercy, hope and salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us be united in this matter. Let us encourage one another and let us continually ask the Lord to empower us. Let us do this so all of us in the Lord will be able to fulfill his or her purpose in life. In this hour of darkness and confusion, let us become light. In this hour of death and suffering, let us proclaim hope and life. In this hour of hunger and loss, let us proclaim blessings and prosperity. Let us preach the victory of the Lord on the cross! Let us receive His victory and be empowered by God to live and become a witness of His unending love. To God be the glory!
