Compassion for the Lost
It is impossible to walk in intimacy with the Lord and not bear fruit. If you are truly with our Lord Jesus Christ, you will always bear fruit. He said this in the book of John chapter 15. As we daily commune with God, we are changed to His image from glory to glory. You will receive His character and you will also experience the power of His ministry.
This is evident for all disciples of the Lord. Now if you are following the Lord, this revelation should make you shout for Joy! Let us receive the joy of becoming like our Lord Jesus in character and in ministry. The Word of God stated that we will be able to do the things the Lord has done in His ministry and more!
John 14:21
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
As you grow deeper in the Lord, you will be amazed by how deep His love for us. He reveals Himself as a good God and will always differentiate His ways from the ways of evil. I would always pray and ask the Lord to change me from glory to glory until I become more like Him. Every time I read the gospels, I am always amazed by How our Lord Jesus Christ had compassion on needs of His people. He healed all that came to Him and never asked anything in return other than repentance and praises for His Heavenly Father. While He was on the earth, He was moved by His great love. And the best picture of His love is when He offered Himself to die on the cross.
I always feel that our Lord did not die because He is required to die but He willingly offered Himself to us. It is because humanity failed to reach out to God and that is why God is reaching out to humanity through His Son our Lord Jesus Christ.
If we only knew how great is His compassion for all of us. The bible says that He is a good God. And I believe in my heart that He truly cares. He knows and He sees what we need, He feels our pain and He is willing to comfort those who comes to Him. He knows our hearts, He knows our weaknesses and He knows our darkest sins. But despite of all of that He has made a decision to love us unconditionally.
Let us open our hearts to the Lord and reveal everything that we need from Him. His love and compassion will never fail. It is a life changing experience to discover God’s care and compassion for us. At times, we may feel that He is distant and He is far away. But the truth is, He is living inside of us, in our hearts. He is always there ready to show His compassion and comfort us in the darkest moments of our lives. In our joy and in our sorrow, He is always there in us.
When you have experience the compassion from our God, you will begin to manifest this and show compassion to others as well. You will begin to understand the true meaning of the word “Sacrifice” and the joy of doing it for the sake of those you love. God loves us all and God is living inside of you, you will also feel the same for all His children. You will receive God’s compassion to care and help others. You will be moved by His love to pray and encourage others to find peace and the abundance of life through our Lord Jesus Christ. Suddenly, you will realize that this compassion for others did not came from you but from the Lord. And as you desire to experience His compassion in your life, you will manifest His compassion in your life for others too. You will begin to experience the joy of sacrificing your time, money or anything else that you can give to help others.
This is the heart of the Lord. He has given us His life out of His compassion and His great love for us. I am now excited and willing to do more for God. I know that I am only able to love to others because God first loved us.
