The God of the Impossible

One of the greatest mistakes that we could ever do is to limit God. When our hearts get filled with unbelief, we close the doors to God’s power in our lives. Because of our lack of faith in God we think that He is not really in control of all things. We feel down and distressed because we are so caught up in our own troubles. Sometimes we feel like being trapped in a cage of defeat and we can never get out of there.

In reality, God is unlimited and we are limited. God makes no mistakes and we commit mistakes almost daily. He is perfect and we as human beings are not perfect. He is infinite and we are finite. He is big and we are small. Compared to God we are just specs of dusts. We are unfaithful but He is forever faithful. We are unloving at times but His love and mercy endures forever. Sometimes, we forget that He is God. He is God almighty, and He is powerful enough to hold the universe in His hands.

Let us remember an unbelievable moment when Jesus calmed a storm by His power and authority. Nobody in history was able to do so except the Lord. Then there was a great peace after the storm. All of his disciples were amazed and they all said “Who is this man that even the winds and the waves obey him?” The disciples being humans struggled and did everything that they can to survive the storm; they did all their effort to stay alive. They reach a point where they all realized that it is impossible for them to overcome the storm and out of their desperation they came to the Lord and asked for help. The disciples were thinking to keep the ship from sinking but Jesus had a bigger plan of calming the storm. We can understand now the big difference between the ways of man and God’s ways. Can the apostles do what Jesus did? By themselves alone they can’t, but with Jesus on their side, it is possible.

Just like the apostles, when we are in situations where our faith is low, we tend to be overwhelmed by the storms that we are facing. Sometimes we forget that we have God with us on our side. We struggle and do every effort that we can to overcome the storm. And At the end of our best efforts, we still sink and drown in our misery. God never wanted His children to be defeated. He never wanted us to be alone and He will never abandon us in a storm. He just wants us to come to him and surrender, trusting Him and knowing that He is able to calm every storm in our life. Let us trust in God and lean not on our own understanding. Let us all give our burdens to Him in exchange of His rest. He will aid us in trouble and give us His instructions for our victory. I am glad that the word of God says: “With God nothing is impossible”. The word “with” in the statement means partnership. He included us in His plan of victory. With Him in every storm and in every trial, we shall overcome.

Luke 8:27

“What is impossible with man is possible with God”.

Now, please think for a moment and ask yourself: Can I overcome the storm that I am facing right now? Can God really help me overcome these trials? Can I trust the Lord enough to come to Him and ask for a miracle? Is He willing to help me? The answer to all of those questions is yes. He is willing to help you because He loves you. He cares for you and He is always there. He is there when you thought that He had forsaken you, He will always be there for you. He is waiting patiently for you to come to Him. He is waiting for you to surrender. The moment you trust in Him and talk to Him about your struggles, He will surely help you out of your troubles.

God will give you His great and mighty plans which you do not know. He will surely turn the situation upside down. He will turn your defeat in to victory. So come to Him now and tell Him the storm that you are currently struggling with. And just like what He did in the bible, He will calm the storm in your life and give you peace beyond understanding. And when you taste your victory, you will then realize that the person who loves you the most is the same God that is able to hold the whole universe in His hands. Your loving Heavenly Father is the God of the impossible.

Short Prayer for Encouragement:

I humble down myself before you Lord and ask You, the God of the impossible to work Your miracle in my life. My heart is open for your revelations. I am waiting for your divine intervention my God. Give me faith to fully trust in you and your ways. I receive your blessings and favor. I receive your covering and protection. And I receive your victory on the cross. Thank you Lord that starting now, miracles will happen in my life and it will start in my heart. Thank You for being patient with me and thank You for hearing me always. Nothing is impossible with You and to You be the glory alone, Amen!
