Are You Ready for the Rapture?
It is true that the word “Rapture” is not written in the bible. But it does not mean that this will not happen. The word “Bible” is also not written in the bible but we believe in the bible with all our heart. So what exactly is the “Rapture”? The term comes from a Latin word meaning “a carrying off, a transport, or a snatching away.” The concept of the “carrying off” or the rapture of the church is clearly taught in Scripture. The rapture of the church is the event in which God “snatches away” his brides from the earth so His brides can experience the marriage supper of the Lamb in Heaven and in order to make way for His righteous judgment to be poured out on the earth during the tribulation period.
Revelation 19:6-9
The Marriage Supper of the Lamb
Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty pearls of thunder, crying out:
“Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints”
And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”
I used to believe that all Christians will be part of the rapture. But as I read and understand the word of God more, I found out that the rapture is for the brides of our Lord Jesus Christ. His brides are those sons and daughters of God who had accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and they are those who have truly died to self and became fruitful. The brides lived the life fully committed to God with deep intimacy. Sad to say many Christians today are taking a spiritual vacation. They are those who do not know how to be led by the Holy Spirit of God. They are those who are living for themselves and not for God!
Here’s a better picture of the rapture as described by the Parable of the ten virgins:
Matthew 25:6-10
“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
“And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.”
According to the bible, those who are chosen for the rapture will hear the sound of a trumpet. To be clear, only those chosen “The Brides of Christ” will hear the sound of these trumpets. I believe in my heart that the brides of Christ are also those people who have waited for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ the “Bridegroom”. They will hear the sound of the trumpets and then, with just a blink of an eye the brides will disappear from the earth. The brides will be snatch away from the earth by the Lord to be caught up to heaven. This event will be so sudden that the Lord describes it as like a thief in the night.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52
“Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.”
I pray from my heart that as you read this, you will pay more attention to the invitation from the Lord to become a bride of Christ. Allow the Holy Spirit to make you deeper in Love with God and experience a deep level of intimacy with your faith. All of us are called by God to become brides but not all are chosen. This is because not everyone will choose our Lord Jesus.
We have to prove ourselves worthy and live a life of total commitment and obedience to God. This may be difficult but we have the Holy Spirit to make this possible! Let us make our lives a joyful testimony of living in the Kingdom of God! The highest calling in life is to become a bride of Christ. The Lord will present His bride before Father God at the wedding in Heaven. Imagine the eternal joy and the reward for those brides of the Lord. Truly, it is the best reward from God! This reward from the Lord cannot be compared to any other pleasure or reward here on earth. So let us make a commitment to God and prioritize Him in this life above anything else. Let us thank God that all of us are invited to become His bride! Let us answer the call of the Lord to become His bride and be ready for the rapture!
Matthew 24:40
“Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.”
One painful thing for a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ is to be left behind in the rapture. Not only because they will have to face the Anti-Christ and go through the tribulation but it is so painful to know that they simply do not love the Lord enough. They were not taken because they were not able to show God that they truly love Him above anything else in this world. It is painful to be left behind because it means that you have not prepared yourself for the coming of the Lord and have not made yourself ready to meet the bridegroom.
I believe that as you read this revelation you will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit stirring up your heart because there is an invitation for you to become a bride of Christ and be part of the rapture. Please do not trade this calling for anything else in the world. Once the rapture happens, we can never again replay the situation. So as early as now we have to make a choice. God had freely given us a will either to enjoy this world or enjoy heaven. Choose right! Choose the Lord Jesus Christ! I am praying that as you read this post you will have a better understanding of the rapture and the honor of becoming a bride of Christ. Let us desire to be more intimate with the Lord. Let us prove to God that we love Him most above anything else in this world. We love God because He first loved us.
Thank you for reading this post! I love you very much but the Lord loves us the most! See you there at the rapture!
